Implementing Period of Replacement Policy on Automobiles Extends to the End of 2010

Approved by the State Council, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Environmental Protection jointly issued the Notice on Extending Implementation of Replacement Policy on Automobiles, defining the related matters concerning extending the implementation of replacement policy of automobiles.

According to the notice, the implementing period of replacement policies is extended from May 31, 2010 to December 31, 2010; during June 1, 2009 to December 2010 31, the owners who sell the cars that meet the precondition of Implementing Measures of Replacement Policies on Automobiles to scrap car recycling and dismantling enterprises and replace their old cars with new ones could apply for subsidies of automobile replacement. The acceptance period of application was postponed from June 30, 2010 to January 31, 2011. The specific policies, subsidy standards and measures for application and payment were not changed.

It is required by the Notice that all the departments should attach great importance to strengthening coordination and cooperation, further processing the propagandizing and implementing work of the new policy in accordance with the relevant requirements.
