Announcement of the State Food and Drug Administration of P. R. China, the Ministry of Public Security of P. R. China, and the Ministry of Health of P. R. China on Including 4-Mephedrone into Control of Class I Psychotropic Drugs

In accordance with relevant stipulations in the Regulations on the Control of Anesthetic and Psychoactive Drugs, the State Food and Drug Administration of P. R. China, the Ministry of Public Security of P. R. China, and the Ministry of Health of P. R. China jointly decided to include 4-mephedrone into the control of class I psychotropic drugs, including 4-mephedrone & the possible salts, chemical isomers, esters, and ethers.

As of the date of enforcement of the Announcement, any unit or individual shall not carry out experimental research, production, operation, utilization, storage, transportation, import & export, and other activities on 4-mephedrone without approval.

The Announcement shall come into force as of September 1, 2010.
