According to China's Xiamen Inspection & Quarantine Bureau, the System of Expanding Electronic Import-Supervision Function through Electronic Export-Supervision Platform, as China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection & Quarantine (AQSIQ) scientific research project for customs-clearance facilitation in 2011, has recently got through successfully an expert review in Xiamen, which marks an important progress that China has made in the whole-process electronization of the supervision on import and export inspection and quarantine.

From now on, this electronic import-supervision system is formally put into research based on advanced public-platform designing concepts, and will be applicable to all kinds of products, enterprises, and supervision models.

Application of this project can lay a solid foundation for the AQSIQ's construction of E-CIQ (Electronic-China Inspection and Quarantine) backbone system.

Xiamen Inspection & Quarantine Bureau will be the first to develop an electronic import-supervision system based on an electronic export-supervision platform, aiming at full electronization of import and export regulations and standards, risk alerts, licenses and records, electronic sampling and approval, spot inspection, tests in lab, and follow-up supervision.

Such an electronic import-supervision system will also be seamlessly integrated with a concentrated document-examination system and with CIQ2000 system's Inspection/Quarantine submodule. Therefore, automatic and scientific conformity assessment can be achieved for the declaration, inspection and approval of import and export goods.
