GACC Announcement No. 61, 2012 on Safeguard agst. New Zealand Agricultural Products

In accordance with China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the GACC Announcement No. 91 of 2008, China implements special safeguard measures against imported-from-New Zealand agricultural products under 12 HS Codes in four categories.

Hereby released in the annex are the concerned import quantity of 2012 applicable to the FTA duty rates and the safeguard-triggering import quantity of 2013;

Therein, China's imports in 2012 of the first-category products total 4,156.77 tons, including 2,576.77 tons in transit that exceed 2013's safeguard-triggering 1,659 tons, so the FTA duty rates may not be applied to the first-category imports in 2013, and the GACC Announcement No. 91 of 2008 may still govern.
