MOFCOM-GACC Announcement No. 96, 2012 on Dual-Use Items & Tech Import & Export Licenses

Joint Announcement No. [2012] 96 by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC)
In accordance with China Administrative Measures on Import & Export Licenses for Dual-Use Items & Technologies (MOFCOM-GACC Decree No. 29, 2005) and China Import & Export Tariffs of 2013, the MOFCOM and the GACC have jointly adjusted the Catalog of the Dual-Use Items & Technologies under Import & Export Licenses;
The post-adjusted Catalog is hereby promulgated as the annex hereto.
As regards imports of radioisotopes, the importers shall, first obtain relevant approval by China Ministry of Environmental Protection, second apply to the MOFCOM’s quota license bureau for the Import License for Dual-Use Items & Technologies, and then declare to the customs by submitting this Import License.
This Announcement shall come into force on January 1, 2013 along with simultaneous repeal of the corresponding old catalog set forth in the MOFCOM-GACC Announcement No. 101 of 2011.
