GACC Announcement No.5, 2014 on Customs Transfer for Finished Auto Import

The GACC hereby decides to conduct the customs transfer practice for importing finished automobiles among the dedicated importing ports. Relevant matters are below:
1. The customs transfer aforesaid shall meet the following requirements:
(1) The importing finished automobiles to transfer shall be provided with through bills of lading;
(2) Relevant carriers and transport vehicles shall be registered with customs authorities and be mounted with position monitors;
(3) The finished automobiles to transfer shall be loaded in the containers compliant with customs requirements.
2. The finished automobile importers shall undertake the transfer procedure with the customs in accordance with relevant customs supervision measures (in GACC Decree [2001] No.89).
3. This Announcement shall take effect upon its issuance.
