MOFCOM Announcement No. 55, 2014 on End Antidumping on EU Pyrocatechol

On August 25, 2009, China Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) issued its annual announcement no.53 for five-year antidumping measures on EU Pyrocatechol as per previous announcements no.41 of 2003, no. 61 of 2005 and no.63 of 2008.
On February 21, 2014, the MOFCOM issued its annual announcement no.13 informing the interested parties of the expiry of the aforesaid antidumping measure on August 25, 2014. From February 21, Chinese domestic industry or industrial representatives (individuals or organizations) may apply in writing to the MOFCOM for relevant expiry review 60 days prior to the expiring date of the antidumping measure.
Within the time limit aforesaid, the domestic Pyrocatechol industry has failed to submit the expiry-review application and the MOFCOM has decided not to initiate the expiry review. Therefore, from August 26, 2014, the MOFCOM will terminate the antidumping measure on Pyrocatechol originating in the EU.
