GACC Announcement No.79, 2014 on Customs Assay Methods

To clarify China Customs-prescribed assay methods, in accordance with China Customs Assay Measures (GACC Decree No.176), the GACC hereby promulgates 69 sets of Customs Assay Methods including CCLM 1500-0001 (see Annex 1), attached with the Catalog of Customs Assay Methods (Annex 2) and the index of assay methods for some HS Codes under China Import & Export Tariff (Annex 3).
In terms of certain commodity assay, if the assay methods listed herein provide different results than other assay methods, the results from the listed assay methods shall prevail as the basis of customs enforcement.
This Announcement shall enter into force on January 1, 2015.
