GACC Announcement No.96, 2014 (on Duty Preferences for Special Customs-Control Areas (Bonded) Goods Domestic Sale)

The GACC has decided to further nationwide promote the batch-by-batch application of conventional duties or special preferential duties to the goods from special Customs-control areas (bonded supervision premises) to be domestically sold in 2015. Relevant matters are hereby announced:

1. The application will be expanded to all Customs Districts in China.
2. Import goods consignees shall, as per GACC Announcement No.36 of 2013, apply to local Customs administrations governing the Customs-control areas (bonded supervision premises).
3. As regards agricultural products subject to special safeguard measures listed by China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, where first import quantities reach the safeguard-triggering level of 2015, except those in transit, their domestic sales shall not be provided with the conventional duty rates listed in the Free Trade Agreement.

This Announcement shall take effect on January 1, 2015.
