GACC Announcement No.26, 2015 (on MFN Duty Rate for South Sudan Goods)

In accordance with the MOU on Mutual Most-Favored-Nation Treatment signed by China and South Sudan on March 24, 2015, the both countries shall accord most-favored-nation (MFN) treatment to each other as from November 22, 2011. Hence, from then on, China Customs shall apply MFN duty rates to the goods originating in South Sudan. As regards the import based on tax guarantee, the Customs authorities are required to timely inform the importers of relevant formalities that are based on MFN duty rates.
