GACC Announcement No.7, 2016 on (Adjustment to Hainan Outbound- Passengers Duty-Free Purchase)

Upon the Announcement No.15, 2016 of the Ministry of Finance, the GACC has adjusted its Announcement No.7, 2015 on Revising Hainan Outbound-Passengers Duty-Free Purchase Measures, as follows:
1.Cancel annual restriction over duty-free purchase frequency for the passengers rather than Hainan-based residents, while limiting annual duty-free purchase amount within RMB16,000 per capita.
2.Where the duty-free purchase is made from Internet online shops, the outbound passengers shall take delivery of their commodities in Airport isolation area by presenting their ID cards and boarding pass; the Internet-based purchase must be in strict accordance with relevant duty exemption policies.
3.Other matters shall still resort to GACC Announcement No.7 of 2015.
This Announcement shall enter into force as from 1 February 2016.
