GACC Announcement No.75, 2016 on Added Customs Control Code 1239

In order to facilitate cross-border e-commerce under Customs control, hereby announced are a new code for Customs control:
1. The code “1239” is added for “Bonded Cross-Border E-Commerce A” to apply to the import of retail goods by cross-border e-commerce firms via Customs special control areas or bonded logistics center (model B) in China.
2. The “1239” control mode is temporarily not applicable to the cross-border e-commerce-based retail import in 10 cities of Tianjin, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Pingtan, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Chongqing.
This Announcement shall enter into force on 1 December 2016.
