GACC Announcement No.26, 2017 on Origin of Goods Transshipped via Hong Kong/Macao

To simplify the country-of-origin management over the goods transshipped via Hong Kong or Macao, relevant matters are hereby announced:
As from 10 July 2017, where a mainland importer is required to submit Transshipment Confirmation as per GACC Announcement No. 52 of 2016, if the Customs has received electronic information of the Transshipment Confirmation that is consistent with Import Declaration contents, the Customs will no longer require the importer to submit the original copy of the Transshipment Confirmation;
However, if the Customs has not got Transshipment Confirmation e-information, or where necessary, the importer shall still submit the original copy thereof.
