GACC Announcement No.53, 2017 on Zero Duty on Gambia & Sao Tome-Principe Products

China’s State Council has recently approved special preferential duties (zero duty) on the imports from the Gambia and Sao Tome-Principe. Relevant matters are hereby announced:
1. As from 1 December 2017, zero duty will be applied to 97% of HS coded products imported from the Gambia and Sao Tome-Principe. Regarding the product list, please refer to Annex 5 of “Customs Tariff Commission Notice on Tariff Plan of 2017” (available on Ministry-of-Finance web portal).
2. Relevant importers shall fill in Customs Declaration Form as per the regulations in GACC Announcement No. 51 of 2016 and submit the documents/certificates as required by GACC Decree No. 231 (on Country-of-Origin Measures for the Imports from Least-Developed Countries).
