Zhangjiagang Establishes Bonded Port Area in County-level Port

The Zhangjiagang Bonded Port Area was established on February 16, with the approval of the State Council. This is the only bonded port area that is located within a Chinese mainland's county-level port, and also the only bonded port area in Jiangsu Province.

On the basis of integration with former special customs supervision zones including the Zhangjiagang Bonded Area and the Zhangjiagang Bonded Logistics Park, the Zhangjiagang Bonded Port Area will realize monitoring of compound resource and serve all the functions of a bonded port area, including bonded logistics, bonded processing and port distribution.

The bonded port area has nine functions: warehouse and logistics, foreign trade, international procurement, distribution and delivery, international transhipment, detection and post-sale service and maintenance, goods exhibition, research and development, processing and manufacturing and port operation.

The bonded port area has even more prominent advantages in terms of location, function and policy, since it is able to enjoy combined tax and foreign exchange policies that are applied to bonded areas, export processing zones and bonded logistics parks.
