Tibet Realized Tax Revenue Reduction and Exemption of 0.1678 billion Yuan in 200

Xinhua Lhasa reported on January 20 that, according to State Administration of Taxation in Tibet Municipality, related authorities actively carried out structural tax reduction and exemption policy in 2009 and realized 167.8 million Yuan tax revenue that has fulfilled its function of serving the economy and effectively boosted the economic development.
Based on the introduction of Kesang Tsering, Deputy Director General of State Administration of Taxation in Tibet, related authorities actively implemented structural tariff deduction policy from current reality for the purposes of coping with international financial crisis and strengthening enterprises’ investment and private consumption ability. Among those activities, 72 general taxpayers of value-added tax realized 94.15 million Yuan tax deduction from input of fixed assets. By carrying out the adjustment policy for small-scale tax value-added taxpayers, the VAT tax deduction achieved to 30.23 billion Yuan.
Meanwhile, related authorities conducted vehicle purchase tax exemption procedures for 6,624 vehicles with small displacement of 1.6 liter or less that brought about 20.82 billion Yuan tax relief. In order to deal with the declining of total amount of imports and exports, they implemented adjustable export tax rebates policy and fulfilled 17.34 billion Yuan.
Furthermore, by continually implementing tax preferential measures for business units directly suffered from "Lhasa 3.14 Event" and promoting re-employment, the government reduced 54.38 billion Yuan taxations.
