Guangdong: Shenzhen Customs Captures 17,750 Infringing Footballs

The Branch in Shekou District of Shenzhen Customs recently investigated a trademark case in suspicion of infringing the exclusive right of the trademark for 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and captured 17,750 PVC footballs suspected of infringements.

It is learnt that, Shenzhen Customs totally adopted 4,686 IP law enforcement measures in 2009, increased by 8 times compared with 2008; captured over 200 million pieces of infringing goods, which accounted for 72% of the total amount captured by the country's customs.
