Direct Customs Clearance for Exports in "Chang Ji Tu" Region of China

In order to promote the foreign trade facilitation in the "Chang Ji Tu" region of China (Changchun City, part of Jilin City and Tumen River) and help enterprises expand exportation, Jilin Province of China will implement direct clearance system for exports in the pioneering region of "Chang Ji Tu".

According to this system, the customs clearance of inspection and quarantine on the exports at each port within the region will be changed to "origin inspection, direct clearance" from "origin inspection, port examination". That is to say, as for goods produced within and exported from the pioneering region of "Chang Ji Tu", once qualified in the inspection and quarantine by the inspection and quarantine authorities of the origin, enterprises may directly implement customs clearance formalities at the port customs with the clearance forms issued by such authorities, realizing one declaration, one inspection and quarantine, and one clearance, which can simplify the process and further improve the efficiency of customs clearance.

For the next step, Jilin Province will intensify its cooperation with ports in Liaoning Province and Tianjin City, striving for a direct customs clearance across regions.
