(4) Continue to implement preferential tariff rates for products of some tariff items from 4 Southeast Asian countries including Laos, 31 African countries including Ethiopia and 6 countries including Afghanistan, totaling 41 countries that are categorized by the UN as the least-developed countries, according to the preferential trade or tariff agreements signed with relevant countries or regions (please see Schedule 6 for details).

(5) General tariff rate shall remain the same.


II. Export tariff adjustment

(1) The export tariff rates in the "Export Tariff Regulations" shall remain the same.

(2) Implement provisional tariff rates for some export products including eel fry; continue to implement special export tariff rates for some fertilizers and their raw materials (please see Schedule 7 for details). For the products whose export tariffs are collected before January 1, 2009, the scope of trade modes applicable for tariff collection shall remain unchanged.

III. Adjustment of tariff items in the "Export Tariff Regulations"
Some of the tariff items in the "Export Tariff Regulations" are adjusted (please see Schedule 8). After the adjustment, there will be 7,868 tariff items in China's "Import and Export Tariff Regulations" (2009 version) in all.
