An additional 475 categories of goods produced in the Macao Special Administrative Region are now tariff-free.

This is the largest batch of Macao-made goods to benefit from the tariff exemption since the implementation of CEPA, underscoring the mainland's determination to support Macao's economy. So far, a total of 1156 categories of good are exempt from the tariff.

Since it was first implemented on January the 1st, 2004, CEPA has greatly benefited trade between Macao SAR and the mainland. In the first half of this year, 830 thousand US dollars' worth of Macao-produced goods have enjoyed preferential tariff treatment, five times more than for the same period of last year.
