Department of Commerce of USA Made Preliminary Determination for Anti-dumping In

On January 27, 2010, the Department of Commerce of USA made an affirmative preliminary determination for woven blankets imported from China and the anti-dumping range of China producers and exporters was from 90.32 percent to 174.85 percent. Among which, one of the enterprises involving in, Hong Guo Electronics (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd. and other two corporations with separate rates, their anti-dumping range was compelled to be 90.32 percent. The flat tax rate of 174.85 percent applied to China other enterprises. The Department of Commerce of USA would instruct America Customs and Border Protection Bureau to impose deposits or letters of guarantee in accordance with the preliminary determination.

In the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, the HS code of the product concerned was 6301.10.0000. According to America statistics, the volume of China's exports into US increased by16.8 percent from 2006 to 2008. The exports value of China woven blanket was about USD 29.73 million. The statistics from China Chamber of Commerce for Imports and Exports of Textiles showed that the amount of money involved in was about USD 11.422 million.

The final determination would be expected to be released by the department of Commerce of US in June 2010.

The case was registered on July 20, 2009. The period involved was from October 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009. On July 22, 2009, according to the list of enterprises involved in the case released by the US Department of Commerce and the list of China exports enterprises from China Customs, the China Chamber of Commerce for Imports and Exports of Textiles called the enterprises concerned together for the appearance meeting. Jifa Electric Company, its amount of money involved in the case ranked fifth in the present enterprises, participated in the appearance and obtained a separate rate of 90.32 percent.
