Ministry of Commerce of the United States Set the Preliminary Decision of Levyin

On March 11th, Ministry of Commerce of the United States set a preliminary decision of levying anti-dumping duty of 69.58% to 95.40% on phosphate imported from China.

According to data showed by Ministry of Commerce of the United States, the imported Chinese phosphate increased by 228% from 2006 to 2008.

In accordance with the present schedule, Ministry of Commerce of the United States will make the final decision on the case in May. If the final decision is a positive verdict, United State International Trade Commission will also make it positive and Ministry of Commerce of United State will release anti-dumping order finally.

Recently, the United States government has taken several trade remedy measures towards China commodities including the initial anti-subsidy duty on Chinese phosphateand coated paper on March 2, and anti-dumping duty on magnesia carbon brick on March 4th.
