Learned from Shanxi Entry-Exit Inspection And Quarantine Bureau on March 25th, Shanxi province has started issuing China-Peru Free Trade Area Preferential Certificate of Origin as from March 1st, 2010, which means that more than 90% of export products to Peru from Shanxi are to enjoy zero tariffs.

According to the "Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Peru", which came into effect as from March 1st, Peru shall implement tariff concessions for all goods originated from China by dividing them into five categories. Some exports, accounting for about 62.71% of total Peru's tariff-cut products, shall start to enjoy zero tariffs when the Agreement came intoeffect, others to enjoy the tariff reduction by category and by stage. In the end, more than 90% of all products from China are to enjoy zero tariffs treatment by Peru.

Shanxi Entry-Exit Inspection And Quarantine Bureau reminds export enterprises in Shanxi province to take full advantage of this opportunity by actively applying for the China-Peru Free Trade Area Preferential Certificate of Origin to inspection and quarantine agencies, so that Shanxi's exports to Peru can enjoy tariff preferences, improving their international competitiveness.
