The U.S. Approved 99.14% Anti-Dumping Tariff on Chinese Steel Pipes/Tubes

According to integrated foreign reports on May 3, 2010, the United States International Trade Commission approved by voting on that day an anti-dumping import tariff up to 99.14% on steel pipes/tubes made in China.

At the end of 2009, the Commission approved the equalization tax on Chinese steel pipes/tubes, the import value of which in 2009 amounted to USD 1.1 billion compared with USD 2.8 billion in 2008 in such import.

The U.S. Department of Commerce made a final ruling in April 2010 on the anti-dumping investigation, confirming the tariff from 29.94% up to 99.14% to be imposed on steel pipes/tubes made in China.
