European Union to Levy Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Aluminum Alloy Wheels

According to the news from the website of the Ministry of Commerce of China, on May 11, 2010, the European Commission announced a preliminary ruling on anti-dumping case of Chinese aluminum alloy wheels, to levy an anti-dumping duty of 20.6% uniformly on all the Chinese products involved. In response to the application by the Association of European Wheel Manufacturers, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation on Chinese aluminum alloy wheels on August 13, 2009, and the amount involved was USD 0.39 billion. There were 36 Chinese enterprises responding to the anti-dumping proceeding, with 4 enterprises thereof selected by the European Commission for its major investigation, including Citic Dicastal Wheel Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Baoding Lizhong Wheel Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Wanfeng Engine Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Youfa Aluminum (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
