The U.S. Initiated Investigations on the Influence of Import Tax-Exemption Policy for Environmental Technology Products on the U.S. International Trade and Economy

On May 17, 2010, the U.S. International Trade Commission announced that, in accordance with the requirements of the Official Letter received on April 16, 2010 from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, two investigations have been initiated, concerning the possible influence of the tax-exemption preference for the imported environmental technology products on the U.S. economy and the situation of international trade and competition facing the U.S. environmental technology industry. The products under investigation are listed in Appendix 3 attached to the WTO document TN/TE19.
