On May 26, 2010, the Brazilian foreign trade chamber of commerce decided to change the taxation standard on Chinese herbicide glyphosate, and to extend the anti-dumping tariff on magnets for ceramics.

According to the Brazilian foreign trade chamber of commerce, Brazil now imposes an anti-dumping duty of 2.1% on the herbicide glyphosate imported from China. With the implementation of the new standard, a tariff with the maximum of USD 2.52 per kilogram will be applied to make up the spread between the market price in China and the export price to Brazil.

The Brazilian foreign trade chamber of commerce also decided on the same day to extend the anti-dumping tariff on magnets for ceramics originating in China for another 5 years. Currently, Brazil imposes an anti-dumping tariff of 43% on the magnets for ceramics originating in China.
