European Commission to Levy 20.6% Tariff on Aluminum Wheel Hubs Imported from China

The European Commission announces to levy a provisional import tariff on aluminum wheel hubs imported from China. The tariff rate published by the Official Journal of the European Union is 20.6%, with a period of validity of 6 months at least. Meanwhile, the European Commission will investigate into the necessity of a long-term tariff.

In 2006, the market share of Chinese aluminum wheel hubs in the European Union was 6.3%, grew to 12.4% in 12 months up to July 2009. This growth is consistent with that of other products imported from China.
