India Formally Imposed Anti-Dumping Duty on Certain Phosphorous Based Chemical Compounds from China

On July 1, 2010, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of India received a letter from the Ministry of Finance of India that, India Customs decided on June 18, 2010 to impose formal anti-dumping duties on certain phosphorous based chemical compounds originating in China and the European Union (EU). The taxation period shall be 5 years (till October 15, 2014).

Therein, for manufacturers of PCL5 products, the duty rate for Xuzhou JianPing Chemical Co., Ltd. (exporter: China Haohua Chemical Industrial (Group) Corporation) was determined at USD 0.467 per kilogram, that for Xuzhou JianPing Chemical Co., Ltd. (exporter: Sinochem International Corporation) was determined at USD 0.574 per kilogram, and that for other enterprises was determined at USD 0.777 per kilogram; and for manufacturers of TMP products, the duty rate for Henan Luohe HP Chemical Plant (exporter: Sinochem International Corporation) was determined at USD 0.008 per kilogram, that for Hubei Sancaitang Chemical Industry & Technology Co., Ltd. (exporter: China Haohua Chemical Industrial (Group) Corporation) was determined at USD 0.119 per kilogram, and that for other enterprises was determined at USD 0.575 per kilogram.
