China Strengthened Production Supervision on Rubber Condoms

On March 15, 2010, the State Food and Drug Administration, P. R. China (SFDA) issued a Notice, demanding to further strengthen the production supervision on rubber condoms.

According to the Notice, strict examination and approval shall be laid on the license of rubber condom manufacturers; for rubber condom manufacturers that are not qualified, no issuance or renewal of the license shall be provided.

The Notice also required relevant local authorities to conduct regular inspections on the rubber condom manufacturers.
