The U.S. Made Final Ruling of Anti-Dumping Duty on Narrow Woven Ribbons Originating in Chinese Mainland, Taiwan Region

On August 12, 2010, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) issued an Announcement, determinating that relevant U.S. industry is materially injured or threatened by reason of the dumping of narrow woven ribbons from Chinese Mainland and Taiwan region below market prices.
It is determined that in accordance with the previous rulings of the U.S. Department of Commerce, an anti-dumping duty of 234% at the highest shall be formally imposed on relevant dealers from Chinese Mainland and Taiwan region.
According to the ruling, the U.S. Department of Commerce will formally issue anti-dumping duty orders to relevant enterprises across the Taiwan Straits.
On July 13, 2010, the U.S. Department of Commerce determined that apart from one manufacturer in Chinese Mainland whose duty rate applicable shall be zero, the duty rates for other manufacturers in Chinese Mainland shall be ranging from 115.70% to 234.40%; while the highest anti-dumping duty rate for relevant Taiwan manufacturers is only 4.54%.
