India Initiates Anti-Dumping Investigation on Opal Glassware from China

On August 26, 2010, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of India issued an Announcement on the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation into the opal glassware imported from China.

The Indian HS Code of the products under consideration is 7013, and the investigation period is from April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010.

In accordance with the Provisions on Responding to Antidumping Cases concerning Export Products by the Ministry of Commerce of P. R. China (MOFCOM), enterprises involved in the case cover all those producing and exporting products in question to countries or regions conducting the investigation during the investigation period.

In the meantime, the Provisions demand all enterprises involved to actively respond to such proceedings so as to safeguard the overseas market of Chinese exports and protect their lawful rights and interests.

Therefore, enterprises involved shall pay high attention to this matter and designate specially-assigned persons to take charge.

The China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Light Industrial Products & Arts-Crafts (CCCLA) will, in accordance with the Provisions, be responsible for the organization of responding to the case, please contact the fair trade working department under the CCCLA in time.
