Chinese enterprises may apply for preferential Certificates of Origin for China-New Zealand Free Trade Area (China-New Zealand FTA Certificates) that enable them to enjoy regional tariff preferences for exports if they meet the requirements of related policies and regulations, revealed by the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of China.
The China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement has taken into effect as of October 1, 2008. In terms of goods trade, New Zealand has promised to cancel all tariffs on imports from China before January 1, 2016. Therein, 63.6% of Chinese products have realized "zero tariffs" as of the effective date of the Agreement.
The Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminds export enterprises to make good use of tariff preferential policies for the China-New Zealand Free Trade Area and initiatively apply for the preferential Certificates of Origin in order to enjoy the tariff preferences.
