Peru Initiates Expiry Review into Anti-Dumping Measures on Footwear Products from China

[2010-10-28 12:25:47]

Recently, as announced in the Resolution (No.176-2010/CFD) issued by the INDECOPI of Peru, the INDECOPI decided to initiate official expiry review procedures for the anti-dumping measures on various Chinese footwear using non-woven materials for uppers apart from slippers and sandals to determine whether to maintain or modify such measures.

This is because that the imposition period has expired for the anti-dumping duties (Resolution No. 005-97/CDS) on footwear classified by 15 customs authorities and originating from China as decided by Peru in Mar. 1997 and the international and domestic situation of relevant products have changed in recent years.

Each stakeholder may, within 6 months following the date of promulgation of the Resolution, provide their arguments or evidences and participate in the investigation of the procedures.
