The U.S. Domestic Industries Applies for Double-Anti Investigations into Multilayered Wood Floorings from China

On Oct. 21, 2010, the Coalition for American Hardwood Parity applied to the U.S. Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission (ITC) on behalf of the U.S. domestic industries, demanding a combined anti-subsidy and anti-dumping investigation into all kinds of Multilayered Wood Floorings (also Engineered Wood Flooring or Plywood Wood Flooring) originating in China and also a tariff of 242% on such imports.

The U.S. HS Codes of the products in question are 4412.31, 4412.32, 4412.39, 4412.94, 4412.99, 4409.10.05, 4409.10.20, 4409.29.05, 4409.29.25, 4418.71.20, 4418.71.90, 4418.72.20, 4418.72.95, 4418.79.00.

According to the U.S. statistics from the applicant, the total export values of Chinese products involved in 2008 and 2009 were respectively USD 148 million and USD 120 million.
