India Initiates Anti-Dumping Sunset Investigation into Silk Fabric from China

On December 20, 2010, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of India received a letter from the anti-dumping bureau of Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry saying that they initiated anti-dumping sunset review investigation into silk fabric (Silk Fabric of weight 20-100 gms per meter) from China on December 6, 2010. The HS Code of the involved products refers to 50071000, 50072000, 50072010 and 50072090.

This review will make decisions on whether anti-dumping and injury still exist and whether to extend duration of anti-dumping duty in necessary after the end of five-year taxation period. The anti-dumping investigation period is from April 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. Injury investigation period is from April 2006 to June 2010.
