India Formally Levies Anti-Dumping Duty on Glass Fiber and Articles from China

On March 4, 2011, the Indian Customs decided to impose anti-dumping duty on glass fiber and articles originating in China, the taxation period shall be 5 years till July 13, 2015.

Duty rates for Chinese exporting enterprises are as follows: 20.89% for Shandong Taishan-PDO Glass Fiber Products Co., Ltd., Taishan Fiberglass Inc., and Taishan Fiberglass Zoucheng Co., Ltd.; 18.67% for Jushi Group Chengdu Co., Ltd., Jushi Group Jiujiang Co., Ltd., and Jushi Group Co., Ltd.; 7.46% for Chongqing Polycomp International Corporation; and 40.91% for other Chinese enterprises.

It is reported that in January 2010, India initiated the anti-dumping registration investigation into glass fiber and articles originating in China; in June 2010, India adopted affirmative preliminary ruling of the case. On January 6, 2011, India made anti-dumping final ruling.
