India to Impose Anti-Dumping Duties on China-Made Chemicals

[2011-03-24 14:32:50]

It's reported that Indian government is considering imposing anti-dumping duties of USD 236 per ton on one of chemical products imported from China, used for making bricks, ceramics and porcelains, in order to protect Indian domestic industry from competing with "cheap goods" from China.

The report says that the anti-dumping bureau, under Indian Department of Commerce, has identified that import price of "barium carbonate" from China is lower than normal value and therefore decided to impose anti-dumping duties ranging from USD 76 to USD 236 per ton on this product.
