South Korea Extends Anti-Dumping Duties on Chinese Tiles

Trade Commission under South Korea's Ministry of Knowledge Economy on May 26, 2011 released a decision on extending anti-dumping duties on tiles originating in China for a period of three years.
From December 2005, South Korea started to impose anti-dumping duties ranging from 9.14% to 29.41% on China's tiles, which caused the gradual rise in market share of its domestic tiles. During the period, China's tile production quantity continuous rising, when it comes to the expiry of the anti-dumping measures, large scale dumping is likely to impact South Korean local enterprises once again, said a report. Therefore, South Korea's Trade Commission decided to extend the anti-dumping duties on China's tile for a period of three years.
