EU Cancel of Anti-Dumping Duties on China's Polyester Fibers

According to U.S. media on June 1, 2011, the EU has decided to cancel the anti-dumping duties on polyester fiber products originating in China, the decision to take into effect from June 16, 2011.

Polyester fiber products are used as the padding for beddings, garments, home decoration, toys and other non-woven fabrics.

In March, 2005, the EU officially started to impose anti-dumping duties on China's polyester fiber products in order to protect European local enterprises.

It's reported that the EU imposes anti-dumping duties from 4.9% to 49.7% on China's polyester fiber products; and it also launched the same investigation on South Korea and Saudi Arabia, but the anti-dumping duties on South Korea were cancelled in March, 2010 after the expiry of investigation.
