The U.S. ITC Opens Five-year Review on China's Magnesium Imports

The US International Trade Commission has launched a five-year review to determine whether revoking anti-dumping orders on pure magnesium from China would hurt US magnesium producers and importers.

The announcement follows the continuation of two prior five-year reviews, the first in October 2000 and the second in July 2006 after the US Department of Commerce issued an anti-dumping duty order on Chinese magnesium imports on May 12, 1995.

"The commission is now conducting a third review to determine whether revocation of the order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the domestic industry within a reasonably foreseeable time," the ITC said in a statement.
