EU Final Anti-Circumvention Ruling on China's Steel Fasteners

On July 26, 2011, the EU made a final anti-circumvention ruling on China-made steel fasteners, imposing 85% antidumping duty on such products transited from Malaysia (whether marked as Malaysian origin or not), but excluding 8 Malaysian enterprises:

Acku Metal Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd, Chin Well Fasteners Company Sdn. Bhd, Jinfast Industries Sdn. Bhd, Power Steel and Electroplating Sdn. Bhd, Sofasco Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd, Tigges Fastener Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd, TI Metal Forgings Sdn. Bhd, and United Bolt and Nut Sdn. Bhd.

The involved products are under EU combined HS codes: ex73181290, ex73181491, ex73181499, ex73181559, ex73181569, ex73181581, ex73181589, ex73181590, ex73182100, and ex73182200.

In October 2010, the EU launched the anti-circumvention investigation.
