Sources said on November 24 that the U.S. Department of Commerce had made a verdict on anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations into multilayer solid wood flooring from China.

Zhejiang Yuhua Timber Co., Ltd. will be charged zero anti-dumping and anti-subsidy tariffs, and it has become the only Chinese company obtained zero tariffs in original judgment since the US launched such investigations into the product from China.

The US Department of Commerce began the "double anti" investigations at the end of last year, and 42 companies in Zhejiang province involved in the case, with involving capital accounting for over 70 percent of the total around China. The US finally decided maximum 58.84 percent anti-dumping duty and 26.73 percent anti-subsidy duty on Chinese companies.

People with Zhejiang commerce authority say that industry associations in Jiaxing and Huzhou launched early warnings prior to the US launched investigations and then organized companies to respond lawsuits in group; 19 companies defended themselves. In addition, Zhejiang Layo Wood Industry Co., Ltd., another company in the province, obtained zero anti-subsidy duty and 3.98 percent anti-dumping duty. Rest 17 companies, which responded to lawsuits, saw far lower tariffs.
