U.S. Two-Anti Probe on China's Drawn Stainless Steel Sinks

On March 22, 2012, U.S. Department of Commerce announced starting anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations into the drawn stainless steel sinks made in China, which are under HS Code 73241000.00.

The petitioner, Elkay Manufacturing Company, appeals to the Department for 22.81%-76.53% anti-dumping duty and micro anti-subsidy duty on the Chinese products.

As per relevant procedure, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) will make preliminary rulings for the two-anti cases on April 16, 2012; If the ITC rulings are affirmative, the Department will continue its investigations and issue its final anti-subsidy and anti-dumping rulings in May and August 2012 respectively.

It is estimated that such imports from China amounted to USD 118 million in 2011.
