The government of India has extended the anti-dumping duty levied on imports of non-radial tyres from China and Thailand for another six months.

Non-radial tyres are used in buses and trucks.

The finance ministry has extended the validity of the anti-dumping duty on such tyres and tubes which had lapsed on October 8 last year.

The extension comes in the wake of commerce ministry's Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties initiating a sunset review in August, on the request of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA).

In an another notification, the Revenue Department has also extended the anti-dumping duty on imports of flat base steel wheels, used in commercial vehicles from China.

"The anti-dumping duty imposed shall remain in force up to and inclusive of March 27, 2013, unless the notification is revoked earlier," the department said.
