ITC Extends Anti-Dumping Duties On Chinese Garlic

The U.S. International Trade Commission on Thursday recommended the renewal of anti-dumping duties on Chinese imports of garlic, saying that removing the duties would likely result in continued dumping.

All six commissioners voted to keep the duties in place following a mandatory five-year sunset review to see if the protections were still necessary to protect American garlic producers from unfair Chinese competition.

Anti-dumping duties on garlic date back to 1994 and survived two previous rounds of reviews in the ITC.
