Brazil Takes AD Probe on Basic Refractories from China, Mexico & U.S.

On July 2, Brazil's foreign-trade authority announced its initiation of antidumping (AD) probe into basic refractories (Mercosur HS Codes 69021018 and 69021019) imported from China, Mexico and the U.S.

Since China is not treated as a market economy, the Brazilian authority intends to choose the value of Mexican products as the normal value of Chinese products.

Enterprises involved should send back their responses to relevant questionnaires within 40 days from the questionnaire sending dates; other interested parties can apply to the authority for participating in the probe within 20 days from the announcement date.
