EU Re-Probes AD on Chinese Canned Oranges

On June 19, 2012, the EU announced restart of its antidumping (AD) probe into canned orange fruits made in China, targeting the product scope specified in its final antidumping ruling of December 30, 2008.

On March 22, 2012, the European Court of Justice judged the EU’s final ruling invalid; but the European Commission holds that the Court’s judgment merely denies part of its ruling and therefore a re-investigation is needed.

The EU started the antidumping probe in October 2007 and made an affirmative final ruling in December 2008.
