EU AD Midterm-Review Ruling on Chinese Steel Fasteners

On July 31, 2012, the EU made a final antidumping (AD) midterm-review ruling on China-made steel fasteners: exclude Andfast Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian company, from EU anti-circumvention on the China-made products.

The steel fasteners are under EU consolidated HS Codes ex73181290, ex73181491, ex73181499, ex73181559, ex73181569, ex73181581, ex73181589, ex73181590, ex73182100, ex73182200.

In October 2010, the EU started the anti-circumvention probe into the Chinese products.

In July 2011, the EU finally ruled levying an 85% anti-circumvention duty on the Chinese products re-exported from Malaysia regardless of whether marked with Malaysian origin, with 8 Malaysian companies free from the duty.

In November 2011, the EU started the antidumping midterm review, probing into the anti-circumvention on Andfast Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
