India Special Safeguard Ruling on Chinese Carbon Black

On July 31, 2012, India's trade safeguard authority issued its final ruling on special safeguard against China-made carbon black: to levy a three-year special safeguard duty at ad valorem rates of 30% in the first year, 25% in the second year and 20% in the third year.

After final investigation considering many import and sale factors, the authority reaffirms the industrial injury by the Chinese carbon black and endorses the levy of special safeguard duty.
